/ Brief
Douglass Township needed a public-facing site that residents could actually use — one place for meeting agendas, township minutes, ordinances, and contact information. The previous site relied on PDFs scattered across an outdated CMS and was hard to read on a phone. The board wanted something modern, clearly organized, and easy for staff to keep current without calling a developer.
/ Approach
We rebuilt the site on a calm, accessible design system tuned to the way residents actually consume township information — quick lookups, downloadable agendas, and a meeting archive grouped by month. Every document is uploaded through a self-serve CMS (Sanity) so township staff publish updates in seconds. The site is hosted on Vercel with a global CDN, so pages load in under a second from any device.
/ Outcome
The new site went live in early 2025. Township staff publish agendas and minutes themselves with no developer involvement, residents can find what they need on a phone, and the site meets accessibility guidelines for municipal websites. The board reports fewer phone calls asking where to find documents.
